Enjoy your meal. Served delicious. Corona: everything is thoroughly disinfected. Exemplary.
Extremely tasty, extremely friendly, well furnished, mega! We are excited!
Flamed lamb pot with rice is recommended. Sanbusa are delicious.
You don't necessarily get the dish you ordered and the waiting time is a little longer than it might have to be, but the food is fantastic and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful.
Great kitchen and very nice staff, always a particularly nice evening!
Delicious meal. Wait staff takes a little time but great food.
A very comfortably furnished restaurant that invites you to linger. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious and quick at the table.
5 stars for the WALK OF FAME !!! The absolutely BEST Ethiopian-Eritrean restaurant in the entire Rhein-Neckar district, so much in advance !! Super competent, friendly service; cozy and lovingly creative atmosphere (not easy in this former whatever-whatever!); modern African sounds that invite you to continue listening; adequately set working (!) air conditioning (at these temperatures a dream)! But enough of the praise for the outward appearance ... now for the canned food: So if you have never enjoyed Ethiopian-Eritrean cuisine before, you will meet your culinary savior here in the "Horn of Africa"! Whoever swings the spoon on the pots and pans knows something about his craft and does not have to duck behind the tastes of any big-city gastronomy - even Haile Selassi would humbly surrender his crown here to all the ambrosian delights that are lovingly and extremely authentically served. Perfectly spicy meat dishes compete with flattering vegetarian delicacies (served on deliciously slightly acidic teff injera (millet filling - for all celis: gluten-free!)) - whoever wins the race is left to every taste bud. In Ethiopia there is a saying: "If the scent of the food wets your hand like a perfume and the memory of it enchants you the next morning, the cook's heart not only satisfied your hunger but even more touched your soul!" We were touched: visually, mentally, emotionally (bow to the kitchen fairy!) And especially culinary! A unique experience that calls for repetition ... over and over again ... high on Ethiopia's delicacies, high on the "Horn of Africa" !!!
This restaurant convinces with its delicious Eritrean dishes, which are traditionally served with flatbread. Those who like it traditionally get a plate for all those who eat and can eat it with their hands or flatbread. Cutlery and couscous are also available on request. When it comes to the choice of drinks, there is a classic range of soft drinks and coffee as well as an African-themed range with local wine and beer. Unfortunately, you have to say honestly, because we often stop there, there are really longer waiting times for the order. On request, it is due to the thin staff ceiling at some times. But generally the service is always friendly and open to us - you do your best there. Clear recommendation.
Very tasty food and very friendly owners. However, it is advisable to plan significantly more time with the visit than usual.
Mixed plate ordered for two, but not even one person was fed up with it. Partly lukewarm to cold. Drinks came very late and they waited a long time for the bill. Absolutely not to be recommended.
A really great place to get closer to the African cuisine and to enjoy the typical African atmosphere. In Africa everything is slowed down a little as it can be very pleasant to counteract the everyday hustle and bustle 👩🍳
We were there for the first time last Friday and found it very tasty! Finally an African restaurant near us, now you can save yourself the way to Mannheim or Heidelberg. Absolutely authentic cuisine with super delicious beer, the mango beer tastes very good! When I read some of the reviews here, I am amazed at the cultural buildings. Anyone who does not deal with the African cuisine a little beforehand and then wonders that you eat with your hands or that the "flatbread" is actually not bread, but rather a kind of sourdough ("pancake"), and then the restaurant should just eat at home. Me as a vegetarian and my husband as a meat eater absolutely got our money's worth here and went home full. Price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. We will definitely be back!
It was our first time visiting this restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The food is plentiful and flavorful. You quickly get the hang of eating the whole thing with your hands. We will come back.
Fantastic Eritrean Coffee
Portions are sometimes a bit small, but delicious by the bank. Unfortunately the food was very different at the table. One part already had his food, while the rest of the table had to wait just under 10 minutes. But we give the Horn of Africa but also a second chance, in the hope I can improve my rating a bit.
It was so delicious. Something really different. Also eat with your fingers ... really great. Had to wait a bit because a service was down but it was more than worth it. Goods are not guaranteed last time there.
The food (tasting) was delicious and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately it has about 60 minutes. lasted until the appetizer (soup) came and about 90 minutes. for the main course. Then again about 30 minutes. until we could pay. So you should bring time and not be "starving".
If you read the other reports, we seem to have just been unlucky. But 2 out of 4 drinks were wrong, our food was forgotten, then partly the wrong food on the mixed plates or food was forgotten. Also, the service was hardly trying to apologize for the circumstances. We will probably not come again ...
Very good
Small cozy restaurant with delicious and authentic food. The selection is not so big but everything is freshly cooked and seasoned. Also take into account the people who do not want to eat spicy. Staff very friendly, a bit shy but still attentive. We will gladly come again!
Excellent and really you live like you are in Africa after menu nr 21 and Ethiopian coffee with the smelling . You have to try
A great relaxed evening with delights and delicious finger food 👌 absolutely decelerating atmosphere.
